At present, St. John Lutheran has two traditional worship services each week:

  • 9:00 a.m. Sunday Service

  • 7:00 p.m. Thursday Service

We welcome and encourage visitors and members alike to celebrate God's grace amongst us! Our church believes and teaches the Biblical Lutheran doctrine of the Lord's Supper, referred to as the Real Presence in which Christ's body and blood are truly present in, with, and under the bread and wine, given and shed for our forgiveness.
We also believe and teach that the celebration of the Lord's Supper is a witness to and preserves the unity of those who share this faith.  If you are not a member of a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS) congregation, please speak to Pastor or an elder about our teaching and practice before participating in the Lord's Supper.
If you will not be communing with us, you're welcome to come forward for a blessing; just
cross your arms to indicate to the pastor that you'd like to receive a blessing from the Lord.

Sunday School Information

Sunday School, 6-8 grade Confirmation, and Adult Bible Study all resumed on Sunday, Sept. 10th at 10:30 am.

Join us for another year of learning and growing in our faith.

The Sunday School kids continue with another year using Answers in Genesis: Answers Bible Curriculum (ABC). Answers Bible Curriculum was developed to present the gospel, beginning in Genesis, to all generations; to train believers to know, obey, and defend God’s Word; and to encourage believers to become conformed to the image of Christ.

Week Day Bible Study Opportunities

TUESDAY MORNING'S @ 9:00 am at St. John
Christians in Conflict:
A Bibke Study about Peacemaking

Unfortunately, Mt. Bay Coffee & Gifts will be closing at the end of the year. Therefore, Bible Study will be moving back to the church for the time being. We will resume Bible Study on Tuesday, Jan. 9th at 9:00 am.

We will have coffee available and some snacks. So grab your Bible and join us as we look at ‘Christians in Conflict: a Bible Study About Peacemaking.’

We will look at the causes of conflict as outlined in the epistle of James. It examines typical responses to conflict and shows how the biblical principles of confession, absolution, and forgiveness are all key in finding a resolution. However, God's Word is the most important part of peacemaking and the only way to facilitate true healing and comfort.

The lessons included the following: What Causes Conflict?, How We Deal With Conflict, The Most Excellent Way, Blessed Are the Peacemakers, Peacemaking and Faith, Equipped for Peacemaking, Hard Teachings, and A City of Peace

Men's Breakfast Bible Study

Men of all ages are invited to join us for breakfast as we enjoy fellowship and studying of the Word of God. We look at the upcoming Sunday readings, discussing them while we wait for our food to arrive.

Can’t make it weekly, that’s alright, ioin us whenever you can.

The upcoming weekly readings can be found on page 4 of the newsletter.
